The gate is ~22 miles South of Brownwood, and ~31 miles North of Brady. Rolling topography, live oak stands, and expansive grasslands dotted with cedar breaks create prime habitat for the ranch's plethora of wildlife, and also provide the opportunity to graze cattle.

Owned and managed by the same family for 35+ years, they have spent considerable effort implementing a Whitetail management plan that produces deer in the 160+ range. Turkey, quail, and dove can also be found.
